Standing between the newly installed replica gate pillars in front of the historic Dunedin Prison on Wednesday are (from left) Dunedin Prison Trust trustee Barry Timmings,

Ms Nicholls said the second stage of the restoration began in September 2020 and included replacing the roof, refurbishing the exterior, asphalting and installing exterior lights among other things.
